hey from canada..the welds are not machine welds but freehand by an actual person.not as nice to look at but equally as strong.keep tire side down

Well actually, the Manitou Externals are very strong. It's usually the internals that fail.

Check my profile for pics of the Manitou Lowers. They're the same ones as your original Gold Label lowers, they just have standard Manitou stickers
